You've got thousend friends in your community but don't remember who wrote that remarkable blog? Or who's the one with those amazing black and white images? Notes will be of help then - allowing to save anything of interest. Internal or external links and any free text of course. Notes pages are strictly private, nobody else will be able to view them.
Notes are editable from your account-settings page, the page itself is addressable by a link in the main menu then.
Admin please remove my comments on this post. I accidentally posted on the wrong component.
It worked fine for me though no errors. Can you find what was the error in your
I figured out how to manually disable components though the database. For anyone else wondering. Go into the ossn_components table and change the active column for the component to 0 to disable.
@David, go to phpmyadmin then go to
ossn_components and search for Notes component and set value to 0.
Or go to component folder and delete Notes folder.
The second I enabled this component my entire site crashed and I get Error 500.
I have no idea how to remove the component manually.
I think I'll be able to express my idea in a face-to-face conversation, or zoom meeting rather than text 'cause I noticed that I did not make myself properly understood. Forget it!
Keep it up, you're doing a good job!
Thanks for your feedback, Catalin.
I'm not sure what you meant with '
notes can have options such as edit and delete', though?
First, you may edit the notes page any time and add/change/remove what you want.
Next, you should make friends with the editor's toolbar. It offers all kind of styling options like colored text or backgrounds, headlines, etc.
As Arsalan stated, VERY NICE!
I would like to suggest in future updates if you could make it have several notes instead of one single page that can be edited. Also it will be good if the notes can have options such as edit and delete. Also a good idea would be able to have a number of colors which you can select. If you are going to do this also it would be nice instead of having one note that covers the whole width of the page I suggest you do little cards, so you'd have 3, 4, 5 notes depending on the size of the user's screen.
I do not know how difficult is that but what I just said above is just a suggestion.
You're doing a great job guys, keep it up and DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED.
