The Bio component has been updated ....

Inspired by the thoughts of Dannie Jackson (see I have enhanced the Bio component by making use of Ossn's WYSISWYG editor.

You're of course not getting a completely different looking profile this way, but as a first step you'll be able to pep up your bio with different fonts, colors, clickable links and images now.

Check out Demo Duck's profile at to get an idea.

You may notice another exciting new feature on my site, too: A file manager! In fact this is a new component under development to integrate the Responsive Filemanager into Ossn.

Basically working already, but this baby wasn't really built with having a multi user environment in mind. Hence, currently anybody can access every file ... :) Yeah, so I'd either have to add some code to handle permissions or find another filemanager which comes with already built-in capabilities.
If you know a better choice, please let me know.

Since the 'about user' component is displaying private details some members might not want to see disclosed I never really liked it. And that's why I'll definitely spent no time on merging it with Bio.

There's another update (2.1) of BIO available BTW fixing a minor Javascript issue.

Nice component. Its will be nice if the "About User" component is updated as well so that it fetches the information entered into the "Bio" field. This way all the info about the user will be displayed in one window .

Simply jump to the component's download section where you got the former version three weeks ago. :)

Hey Zet Man, I love the new Bio component on your site. How do I get it?

As I said: it's accessable on my development site. Simply click the "Files" entry in the main menu.

And wooosh .... as expected: Some idiot has already deleted my files. Thank you.
