As I wrote already 6 years ago (see below) this component cannot really prevent anyone below 18 from registering. - even without that little glitch you found. If I'm 16 and I want to register at your site I would use any allowed fake birthdate, and that's it.

Yeah, but you can insert your birthday manually without the calendar and if you do this, it's not working.

You can type in your birthday with your keyboard - for example 12/12/2012 - and then you can register even if you're under 18

I tried the component on OSSN 6.4 but if you try to register under the age of 18 it is still possible.

but if I don't miscalculate May 2021 - 18 years IS May 2003 and NOT January 2000

Is there a way to make de picker start with a pre-defined date, say 01/01/2000?
The way it works now it's a little counter intuitive for some users since on the month picker it shows only up to the current month.

Any way to change "Username is invalid." to a notice that explains they not old enough to sign up?

Even if it a piece of code I can add.

Cannot follow, Jordan. The component is working 100% correctly.
In fact you cannot enter a birthday below 18 and that's why you won't see any errors.

Of course, a younger user will still be able to fool the system by entering a wrong birthday - but this simple component wasn't meant to verify your passport or identity card.

when signing up the component doesnt state 18+ or gives error if input DOB is below 18.
