I have no intentions of wasting your time or mine, not a new person at linux but not a pro ether. this is what I have done, I stopped at the install when it said MOD_Rewrite not installed

Ok have done the following:

Deleted the Database
deleted the site from \var\www\

recreated Database
recreated the site at \var\www\topicmaster
setup says MOD_REWRITE REQUIRED but phpinfo says it is see below

Host topic-master.com
Loaded Modules
core modso modwatchdog httpcore
logconfig modlogio modversion
unixd modaccesscompat modalias
authbasic modauthncore modauthnfile
authzcore modauthzhost modauthzuser
autoindex moddeflate moddir modenv modfilter
modmime prefork modnegotiation modphp7
reqtimeout modrewrite modsetenvif mod_status

I will continue tomorrow

You just wasting our time and followed none of our advice. You files are owned by non Apache user.

Further it looks like mod rewrite is not enabled for current www directory or . htaccess is missing.

You have not answered my question

That last change got to a unformatted login screen, and when I press the login button I get "Not Found, request URL was not found on this server "

The URL it is going to is topic-master.com/login

I have checked your log seems you have permission issues as mentioned, did you run the command :

  • change complete webserver tree to be owned by www-data like chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/

Did you reinstalled OSSN after running the chown command? In that case
Also go to your PHPMYADMIN and then ossn_site_settings change cache from 1 to 0.

I can see that you have modified core files, please try to install fresh copy form our website not your modified copy.

How do I attach the results of ossninfo and can not supply the error log non is showing , plus not able to login to access site setting
Created the file DISPLAY_ERRORS in the ossn installation and tried the site again, no error show in it. made sure the permissions were 0755 and owned by www-data

it's unlikely getting a white page without any errors being logged, so please run

and provide the error_log part
