when you try to register and you username got any special characters like a space or - or _ or . then it shows me the error, that the username has to be at 5 characters long
you can only use usernames which are one word, no spaces or any characters

Usernames can be only alphanumeric, You may edit the username invalid message https://github.com/opensource-socialnetwork/opensource-socialnetwork/blob/v6.x/locale/ossn.en.php#L166 with more detailed message like must be 5 characters, and no special characters and spaces
