Allow group admins to setup group username once group is created. You can add username in group edit page.
This component is alternative to Eric's groupslug component and simpler.

Redirecting is working fine for me.
But I'm missing some place where the alternate link is visible for any other member of my community.
Okay, that's forwarding to a more general question: Why do we need these extra links at all?
Inside of Ossn I get group names along with working clickable links.
Thus, I would reach any group I want simply on click and spend no further thoughts on whether it's group/123 or group/321.
Even more - since the majority is using mobile devices today - often with PWA enabled - people would not even see that link in the browser's address line.
So the only reason for using a more meaningful url I currently see is: My community wants to SHARE that link somewhere on the web. And that's why I think it should be visible for any member and not only at the group owner's setting page.

Users can change group name also.

Indeed simpler. But user can make now any url with total other name then the name off te group.
