Private Groups
As the screenshot shows, this component allows you to create private groups now.
The component requires that OssnGroups is installed and active because it continues to use all already existing and known features - just with the necessary changes.
Private groups remain invisible to all users unless they are a member of such a group or have been invited by the group owner.
Furthermore, it is necessary that Arsalan's Group Invitation component is installed and active so that there is a possibility to send invitations to friends. In addition, this component extends the functionality of Group Invitation so that invitations are also possible on mobile devices.
Running Private Groups does not cause changes that cannot be undone. If you deactivate or uninstall the component, all private groups will remain intact and usable, but will now be visible to everyone. The group owner then only needs to take a choice on the group's settings page whether he wants to operate the group as a PUBLIC or CLOSED group in the future.
Please note: I have not yet had time to test this component in conjunction with these Group-Slug components. It may be that this makes information unintentionally visible. Just try it out and contact the developers if you have any problems.

Running Files 3.8 I can confirm your issue:
Please contact openteknik.com - since this is caused by their component being not aware of this new type of group.

I love the idea of this component and have added to my site. However, obviously no one has tried to add files in a private group, because if you have you will notice that you CANNOT VIEW any group files. There is simply a message saying Join Group, even though I created the group. If this error/problem can be fixed I would love to continue using the private group component.

Works fine for me Noah, well you should provide more details like
OSSN version, PHP version and most important error_log last few lines only

You misunderstood me :) By All Groups, I mean the Groups section where are all previously created groups.

Hmm ... that's strange: My Ossn 8.9 doesn't even have a link named "All Groups" in the sidebar!?!
Please provide a screenshot.
And: if you got an error, there should be an error log.
So please provide that log, too.

It doesn't work. After installing and enabling the component, it is possible to create a private group, but when I click on All Groups in the sidebar menu, I get an ERROR. So, I had to completely delete the component again.
