Update from 1.8 to 2.0 failed

Well, the update from 1.8 to 2.0 failed.

I removed all folder except configuration folder and then uploaded the unzipped-files to the site.

This was the result after I run the update.php:

A system error has occurred. Please try again later. You may email the details of this error to the system administrator at xxxxxxx.
exception 'OssnDatabaseException' with message 'Unknown column 'e.permission' in 'field list' SELECT e.guid, e.time_created, e.time_updated, e.permission, e.active, e.owner_guid, emd.value, e.type, e.subtype FROM ossn_entities as e JOIN ossn_entities_metadata as emd ON e.guid=emd.guid WHERE(owner_guid ='30' AND type='object' ) ; ' in /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/classes/OssnDatabase.php:76 Stack trace: #0 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/classes/OssnDatabase.php(166): OssnDatabase->execute() #1 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/classes/OssnEntities.php(213): OssnDatabase->select(Array, true) #2 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/classes/OssnObject.php(178): OssnEntities->get_entities() #3 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/components/OssnGroups/classes/OssnGroup.php(100): OssnObject->getObjectById() #4 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/components/OssnGroups/classes/OssnGroup.php(573): OssnGroup->getGroup('30') #5 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/components/OssnGroups/libraries/groups.php(42): OssnGroup->getMyGroups(Object(OssnUser)) #6 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/components/OssnGroups/ossn_com.php(67): ossn_get_user_groups(Object(OssnUser)) #7 [internal function]: ossn_groups('ossn', 'init', NULL) #8 /home/femblogu/public_html/ossn/libraries/ossn.lib.system.php(224): call_user_func_arra

What now?
Kind regards,
Sally
(P.S. - of course I did a backup before ;-)

Looks like I must go back to v 1.8

  1. if I try to post a comment in the 'What's on your mind?' box then the comment does not appear. The comment-box is blank.

  2. when trying to log off a message appears: 'the action you requested is invalid'.

Sorry,
Sally

Ok, friends, done! The upgrade from 1.8 to v2.2 is completed.

The problem was: when running the upgrade-script I was logged in as admin BUT I was on your support-site instead of my own admin-site.

Will check everything and report later.

Have a good weekend and thanks!
Sally

What is new in v2.2?

We have fixed some upgrade issues in v2.2 wait for release

Have you been logged in to your admin account before running the upgrade script?

Looks, like upgrade.php failed to make some necessary database changes.

(One change was to rename the column 'premission' of ossn_entities to 'permission'. That's why you're getting the error: 'Unknown column 'e.permission'.)

Try to log in to YOURSITE/administrator and run YOURSITE/upgrade/upgrade.php again.
