Favicon is not appreaing in my OSSN website.

I have my OSSN site here: https://social.thevhgroup.ml/ (in directory GlobaLine; using URL forwarding 301, I'm redirecting https://social.thevhgroup.ml/ to https://social.thevhgroup.ml/GlobaLine/). I have searched a lot and read many discussions about favicon here, but, none helped me. Mostly because, most of them had just one link in a reply pointing it to some other favicon thread. Please, don't do it here. By now, I have got to know that I'm just supposed to upload the favicon in the root directory (I have added the favicon file to the root directory of domain, as well as to the root directory of OSSN installation). I have of course tried clearing cache and cookies, etc. The cache of my OSSN website is disabled too. I haven't made any changes to the OSSN code. I do have a lot of components installed, but, the problem persisted even before installing anything. What else am I supposed to do for the favicon to appear?

My OSSN is here: https://social.thevhgroup.ml/
I'm using OSSN on Google Chrome on Windows 10 (latest version of both)

As you'll see calling https://newblue.ongolito.net/favicon.ico directly will load my icon without any problem.

Trying the same at your site gives a 302 first, then a 404 (file not found) error

That's a provider specific issue (maybe something special in the main .htaccess file), so please contact their support.

Running Ossn on this kind of cheap and free instances isn't a good idea anyway, as you'll run into other limitations sooner or later.

I hope G Chrome's latest version is considered as an up to date browser. But, it's not helping. Favicon isn't visible. What can by the possible causes? The favicon is named favicon.ico, it's dimensions are 16 × 16 and it's in the root directory of my site (inside htdocs folder). My htdocs contains the folder called GlobaLine and that's the folder of my OSSN installation and also, htdocs contains a folder called data which contains my OSSN data. Basically, htdocs is my site's root and /GlobaLine/ in OSSN's root. Either way, placing favicon in any of these directories isn't helping.

To my knowledge,
all up-to-date browsers accept a file named favicon.ico - simply located in your site's document root without any further code reference. (That's how I did it with https://newblue.ongolito.net/ for example.)

The only pre-requisite is the correct image format (type ico) in this case.

If you really need a custom location or any other image format like png or jpg for some reason, it has to be referenced in the header of your HTML. See
