This thing has so many bugs

Raven Knight Posted in Technical Support 9 years ago

Trying to upgrade and i installed did all the steps properly but even before i can go to the upgrade link to upgrade properly , i get a crap load of bugs one after another ....seriously...

After fixing 20 something bugs i get this one
Fatal error: Call to undefined method OssnSite::getAllSettings() in /home/suicider/public_html/libraries/ossn.lib.system.php on line 27 line 27 is global $Ossn;

global $Ossn;
$settings = new OssnSite;
$Ossn->siteSettings = $settings->getAllSettings();

So even after i figure out how to fix this im gonna get a crap load of more bugs... would be nice if people checked there work before saying things fixed.

"The action you requested is invalid"

Are you using old theme?

We didn't asked you to list 'Common error codes' and 'http status error codes'

Please upload a error_log file somewhere and share a link.

German Michael Zülsdorff Replied 9 years ago

Come on Raven,
you wouldn't want to tell us you're getting every possible http error at once while accessing your site?!?

Besides that, a correct sample line of a server log looks like:

109.90.216.221 - - [28/Jul/2015:05:08:34 +0200] "GET /images/logos/panoramas.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 101935 "http://your_community.xx/styles/main.css?ver=20150703" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64)

Provide your REAL server log plus information what exactly you did at that moment - and we can try to help you.

tryed to login to admin account i get The action you requested is invalid.

Common error codes:
400 (Bad request)

403 (Forbidden)
404 (Not found)

http status error codes:

400 (Bad request)
401 (Authorization required)
402 (Payment required)
403 (Forbidden)
404 (Not found)
405 (Method not allowed)
406 (Not acceptable)
407 (Proxy authentication required)
408 (Request timeout)
409 (Conflict)
410 (Gone)
411 (Length required)
412 (Precondition failed)
413 (Request entity too large)
414 (Request URI too large)
415 (Unsupported media type)
416 (Request range not satisfiable)
417 (Expectation failed)
422 (Unprocessable entity)
423 (Locked)
424 (Failed dependency)
500 (Internal server error)
501 (Not Implemented)
502 (Bad gateway)
503 (Service unavailable)
504 (Gateway timeout)
505 (HTTP version not supported)
506 (Variant also negotiates)
507 (Insufficient storage)
510 (Not extended)

I had to fix all of that and i still cant login to my admin account which putting an error log so the developers /staffs can see is as you see pointless and useless as the error thats showing on when i try to login doesnt even show on the logs.

Error when i try to login and even if username and password box is empty it sais

The action you requested is invalid.

And im using a webhost called x10host which has the recent mysql and all. and dont bother trying to register as it dont work and nor does forget password

@Raven, Please create a ticket on github and make sure you follow the following rules:

https://github.com/opensource-socialnetwork/opensource-socialnetwork/wiki/How-to-report-a-issue-on-github

We can't solve your issue without knowing on which machine you are testing. Without knowing what is in error_log.

Right when i try to login to admin account it loads a blank page, so i even tested 1.0 but that one works fine.

That is weird I am running version 2.3 and I am having no problems at all...I did have some in the beginning but after I disabled the cache it all went away.

Raven Knight Replied 9 years ago

The thing is im getting all these bugs from the 2.3 which is supposed to be stable lol

I know everyone is in a hurry to upgrade to version 3.0...Even though in the Admin Control panel it say's version 3.0-beta do yourselves a favor and do not try to upgrade that is only a beta release for the Dev's to check things out...Wait until version 3.0 is released and you will now because it will say under Available Updates version 3.0 and Syed Arsalan Hussain the main Dev. will also let you know.
