NGINX Installation UPGRADE Requirements

Planet Host Posted in Technical Support 9 years ago

How are you going to require us to have Apache installed this web server application is not only so 1990's it's also worthless in the development world as a server operator no company uses Apache it's a NGINX world out there.

You're own server MAIN server is running NGINX how about update the software a bit more and make it support NGINX server's the best servers on the internet then asking us to roll back the system to crap.

UPGRADE SOFTWARE TO ALLOW ALL WEB SERVERS

Hey Planet Host,

have you been able to run the ossn on nginx? It would be great if you could show us some of your nginx .conf files. Right now i'm trying to install this. php is running great, but all dynamic paths are blocked by nginx :/ any idea to that?

We have a plan to support nginx servers, can you help us to create a nginx configuration for Ossn? You can find the apache config file here:

No biggie I will stick with nginx not going to go back in time where real vulnerabilities on the internet exist that would be like rolling back all server software to out dated dependencies.

Besides it's not hard to make it compliant to nginx as well as apache it's a little extra code but not much already started dabbling in it and had it load up to the point that is no longer asked me to install apache or mod_rewrite.

Just something to think about if the product is good and the company that creates it stands behind it they should make it available for everyone in the server world.

I would even go the extra mile of putting up a nginx machine used for the testing to make sure it is capable of supporting it if interested.

Hi,
Apache is the web most use technology,i find it normal to code for Apache webserver first.
Since most webhosting service supports it than Nginx.
