William,
no idea which way your "Marketplace items" are implemented - so, theoretically yes, if these items come along with a unique html identifier and something like a "show details" viewing page.

Hi Z-man, is it possible in the future to also add the "Share-Link" to Marketplace items? Then we can share those across other sites, which would be more effective in selling items. Thank you. You do a great job. Wish I had time to learn OSSN so I could do some of this stuff myself.

Okay. Just thought you might be able to work with them on it wrt your component portion of it... I had made the request directly to them on the other part, if you see where I mentioned it in my comment. Sorry.

Phil,
I don't want my component threads to become a platform for off-topic software inquiries and complaints. Please address such kind of requests to the respective company directly.

@~Z~ Man ... I know this is premature, but... when this is further perfected (which I KNOW you will be able to do!), do you think it would be possible to talk to Softlab24 to see if "Share Link" could be added to the videos component? (I have already asked them about including the "regular" share as well). this would be EXTREMELY useful, and I'm sure popular. In this day and age of banning videos and suppressing information it would be extremely useful to be able to circulate from sites like mine. Just a thought.

@William Shoap ... I dunno. After installing 2.3 it copied to clipboard, then but didn't work... then it shared simple posts but didn't work for others... then it worked for everything... just like that, with no changes. Mysteries of life. The one thing it still struggles on facebook. Most of the time the first attempt fails in posting the preview (just posts the link), BUT, the second attempt works perfectly, instantly. Mysteries of life. I dunno.

Nope. No dice. I would really like to know what the difference between my site and Phil's is. I am also using VPS. I have 4CPU and 8GB Ram. Also using Cloudflare, which when disabled, makes no difference in this result.

p.s. I removed the post below so you won't be able to see it. But the shared content was created on the shared content folder. Z-man, I would invite you to log in and test.

I posted the exact same NY Post article as Phil to my OSSN site and then clicked "Share Link" It created the link but still got the same message, that it could not generate a preview image.

Here is the link generated: https://10-43.com/shared_content/post/1118/1615987734
However, when I went to post this to facebook, it could not show the preview image. I really feel this might have something to do with CloudFlare caching. I may disable the cloudflare cache next and try again.

Okay... first time attempted you could see it "try" to post the preview ("it flashed then vanished") but ended up just posting the link. On the second attempt it posted it INSTANTLY, complete with the preview... a link to an article in the NY Post. VERY cool!!!

Why it started working. out of nowhere, I don't know.

LOL! read what I posted below. It ALL started working all of a sudden, for I don't know what reason. Even third party links in the post like articles! I didn't change anything. It brought to the "shared post" page. I see what you mean now about clicking on the post to go to the homepage once at the page. It works. All I can say is it works. I have to re-install blogs 2.19, and see that, too.

I'm going to post, again, an article link and send screenshot with preview.
