I would like if it is possible for each user to activate or deactivate the instant messenger (like on Facebook) to use of the chat only if they want ?

That's what i was afraid of ! Some people like to chat , some other prefer to be quiet ... I shall have wanted to satisfy everybody ... like on Facebook

No.
You can disable chat only globally for everyone by disabling the chat component.
Due to the many requests in the past for additonal features and components we have decided to develope a premium version. Features like Hashtags, Videos, Polls, Events, Stories, Link Preview, etc included in it.
