Hi, I keep getting Installation error whenever I try download OSSN from Softaculous. Is there any way to resolve this?

Hello Ben may I know what kind of error comes out? I'm also using cpanel. I got PHP fileinfo missing error. if u got same problem then contact to your hosting service provider and tell them to install those missing files in his server. I have another way to bypass this error but I don't know it's leagal or not. Just go to check.php and make comment those files which is not provided by ur host. after that that's the only way to install ossn. Or js wait. Once your hosting service provider install these files in his server u will not get any errors.

Okay so one I have downloaded the files, how exactly do I upload them into the Cpanel?

so it looks like your host doesn't meet Ossn's pre-requisites.
You can try to install Ossn manually from here:
https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/download
