Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction on an intermittent issue I'm seeing. I'm assuming this is something with my installation, server configuration, or customization rather than an OSSN bug, but I wanted to ask whether anyone has encountered similar behavior.
Occasionally, one or more user profile images will fail to load on a page. The broken-image placeholder appears where the avatar should be. If I simply refresh the page, the missing images almost always load normally.
The problem is intermittent. The same user's image may load perfectly most of the time, fail on one page load, and then appear immediately after refreshing. Because of that, the underlying image files seem to be intact.
I'm running OSSN on Hostinger and using the Flexi theme. I have made a number of customizations to the site, so it's entirely possible that something I've changed is contributing to the problem.
Before I start digging too deeply, I wanted to ask: Has anyone seen this behavior before? Is there anything in particular I should check in my OSSN configuration, PHP/server settings, image/avatar handling, or caching?
I'm going to keep Chrome DevTools open and try to capture the HTTP status/response the next time an avatar fails to load. If there is other diagnostic information that would be useful, please let me know and I'll be happy to provide it.
Thanks for any guidance. I'm mainly trying to determine whether this is a known configuration issue or something specific to my installation.
