How can I confugre mail activation for users who sing up on premium version?

Please clarify the question. How is this any different than any user signing up, whether you use the premium version or not? The same mail system is used, either through PHP's mail() function or by using the SMTP component.
Due to the many requests in the past for additonal features and components we have decided to develope a premium version. Features like Hashtags, Videos, Polls, Events, Stories, Link Preview, etc included in it.
