I'm using the OSSN core notification system and I’ve noticed that currently, users can only mark all notifications as read. Additionally, when clicking on a single notification, the current page is redirected to the linked item (e.g., a post or comment), causing users to lose their place and forcing them to manually navigate back to the notification list.

Would it be possible to enhance this experience in a future release, similar to how it works on platforms like Facebook?

Suggested improvements:

Add a per-notification dropdown menu with options like:

Mark as unread

Delete notification

Report issue

When clicking a notification, open the content in a modal/pop-up instead of navigating away from the current page.

These features would significantly improve the user experience and workflow, especially for community-driven platforms.
