I am new to OSSN and looking for help with understanding how it works

Paul Smith Posted in General Discussion 3 months ago

If using OSSN:
OSSN version: 8.9
Website URL (optional):

If facing any bug:
PHP Version : 8.2
Error Log if any:
Browser: Firefox v145.02 64 bit
OS (Window/Linux/Android/iOS/Mac): Windows 11

Just discovered OSSN and thought I'd see if I could make it work for my family website. Read through most of the docs and see it uses components instead of plugins. After installing and browsing to the home page while not logged in, I noticed there is no way to register or create an account. Using the default theme and see nothing in the admin configuration to enable this. Surely I don't need to create a component to handle registration for new members? Did I miss something?

Thanks for your time.

Hmm ... I can hardly believe that to be a chaching effect...

A browser may cache
https://some.site/pageA
for sure, but it won't display the very same page on entering
https://some.site/pageB

Hey Arsalan, thanks for the reply. I figured it out about 30 minutes after posting but couldn't edit my post. It was a browser cache issue. FN/f5 wouldn't do it so I had to go to settings/clear history to take care of it. All good now. Knew it had to be something I over looked.
