However, some component that are crucial to me are not working, or render a bit weird, ex: black over dark grey background, and anonymous registration not working (Create Now button does nothing) - How can I contact you please?

Regarding your initial idea (only admins may create accounts):
There's already a component available, allowing right this.

Thus, and as a general rule: As long as you don't want to realize something very special (e.g. a theme specific function) it is better to keep all common and known functionalitiy with the theme, and put that extra logic inside a separate component.
