Typing @ shows a list of users, but it goes away as soon as you start typing a name. Shouldn't it search through the list as you type a name? Also, once selected you can't delete it.

@~Z~ Man ... yup. For me, making friends with it is gone. Just a minute ago it does this again. If it does it to ME, it is going to do it to users, and users are too picky for me to provide something in this state. The better option, in my opinion, is to have just made it to change the color of the font in "@user mention" in order to draw attention separate from the comment text color, and for the user to get a notification, friend or not. The link to the profile isn't even important, IMO. The purpose is just for the user to be notified of the comment, and to distinguish to other users who the comment was actually "to". I'm going to have to stop using this altogether and go back to "@user mention"... just wishing something as simple as a color change could be applied.

Honestly, I still can't really make friends with the current usability.

Usernames MUST be unique in Ossn. Okay, but that also implies that as the number of members increases, the chances of finding a user name that allows an association with the correct name become smaller and smaller. It is all the more important that after selecting the friend, his / her real name is displayed and not just any username.

Yea... ok... I do that for people not on the friends list to draw attention to their name if commenting to them on something they previously commented. Without a "reply" to a comment feature, threaded, it makes for easier following of flow, but if I can't do it, I can't do it, I guess. Thanks.

@Phil, you need to type first name only if it didn't comes up then there is no need to enter lastname, @firstname lastname and you press enter without ui comming and selecting may result into that because (firstname) can be its username results (Full Name) Last Name

Okay ... the behavior is still there. Thought it was gone. If I am making a comment, using "@fistname lastname", and the user is NOT on my friends list, the last name IS repeated. the intial first and last name are highlightes, and the last name is appended in regular text like the rest of the comment. Just happned 3 minutes ago to me.

@~Z~ Man ... I uninstalled both components, re-installed, and then it seemed to clear it. Am installing 2.5 anyway, thanks for checking into it. I see you were on the system checking it. Thanks for that, too. Please confirm if you get an e-mail notification when I respond to your post on the system. There seems to be issues with e-mail notifications, in general, going out. I have an updated e-mail notification from softlab24 that defaults notification setting to on, instead of off, so unless you manually disabled the notifications in user settings, you -should- get the e-mail. Just need a verification, please.
