OSSN Ver 4 post edit function not operating or responding

Curt Guldenschuh Posted in Performance and Scalability 10 years ago

I have a localhost setup on Linux Mint 18-64 bit (Ubuntu 16x). PHP 7. I made a test post. I clicked to edit the post and got no response. It was as if I had not clicked anything. Am I the only one? Is there a fix? Something I should look for?

I'm leaning toward thinking I may have been missing a lib or two causing the edit routine to not work properly. I had a Xampp stack installed but removed that and installed a Bitnami Simple Machines Forum stack. I then installed OSSN 4.2 alongside SMF and the edit routine seems to be working properly now.

Sometimes I sure miss the old days when software was fully documented.

With a bit of tweaking and whacking I seem to have OSSN 4x up and running properly. Much thanks for the facebook theme!

Best I can figure these are the errors when I click to edit a post...

TypeError: uri is undefined MatchPattern.jsm:73:9
Empty string passed to getElementById().

Correct...OSSN v4.2. Are you referring to a log file for the web browser? I'm using FireFox but have no idea where to find an error log for it.
