I have 4 computers in my house can i host ossn in my local home network only for my family using xampp

You can do easily connection your computer via cable or wifi make sure one computer work as server install xampp server on your one computer and download wifi hotspot and then turn on connect other computer then enjoy

please respect that this forum is dedicated to Ossn specific problems and questions. Setting up a working server environment is something completely different, and there are much better places in the net where to find answers for questions like yours.
Besides that: There are a lot of "ready to go" virtual applicances available for free which come already with comfortable administration interfaces like Webmin.
