Ok, I tried everything, deactivating this and that, but the problem did not occur again. Perhaps it happened after I activated the 'blog'-plugin a few weeks again. I tested it and deactivated it. Not sure if it was caused by that plugin. However, currently all looks fine again.

- de-install the Custom-Pagination component
and if the problem still persists:
- turn on error reporting
and have a look into your error_log file

Everything was alright until you installed Custom Pagination?

This concerns comment, picture comments on the Home-page. Suddenly this happeed, no change have been made.

Am I right: You're talking about POSTINGS not COMMENTS?

Which way is your newsfeed configured: Friends-Only Postings or ALL postings?

Ok, to clarify:

After I logged into my site there was one comment only.
So I click o page -2- this was empty.
I clicked at page -3- this was also empty.
On page -4- finally the latst comments appeared.... strange.

Currently, Ossn is programmed to display the latest 5 comments.

I've just tried with 13 comments: 1 to 8 are hidden, 9 to 13 are shown.
So, everything's fine at first sight.

Could you give us a (vage) number instead of "after a certain amount" ?

No, obviously Custom Pagination 4.0 does not cause the problem...

To clearify:
Without or de-activated Custom-Pagination everything is back to normal?
