How to add or delete sign up fields on the OSSN Network

There are too many fields on the sign up process, how can i delete some fields from the signup process, so i can get the user signed up faster and using the site, instead of a long process of signing up? I can get the user to add in all other required information in their edit profile section...

You simple need to write component that can , override register action
Override the registration form.
In register action you can edit the required fields.
