Also make sure you are using php 7.x
You may also try to remove int bool types from methods,

i have downloaded 1.1 version and i have seen that the problem is in the /components/MessageTyping/classes/MessageTyping.php on line 12
that is written in error log

it doesn't work for me
and also if enable the component, the friends has disappeared in the right bar chat
