Do you guys have any plans on doing performance improvements and/or code cleanup for OSSN? I mean, the script's a 'swell way for people such as myself who would like to know the ins and outs of running a social network/CMS, but it felt like response times and the like still leave a lot to be desired.
For one, pages seem to load a bit slower compared to Elgg, and there are times that the software flat-out fails to respond on certain queries.

We have improved some of performance issues in 3.0 development, will improve few more things.
Due to the many requests in the past for additonal features and components we have decided to develope a premium version. Features like Hashtags, Videos, Polls, Events, Stories, Link Preview, etc included in it.
