Form Field Validation for User Registration

George Sypsomos Posted in Technical Support 3 years ago

I'm having a problem where people are creating accounts with a bot using garbage characters (skfjhdsfkijdshfk) for name, user name, and even birthday. How can I validate that the data they are entering is legitimate data, like 20-10-1990 for birthday (20th October, 1990), and not let them use "asdsadasdasdagf" as their birthday? They are scripting their account registration to overload my site with fake accounts. I understand Captcha will reduce this, but Arsalan's Captcha 1.2 hasn't been updated in 5 years. Need form field validation for user registration submission. Please help.

When we created OSSN, the goal was to make sure v1.x components should work on all future version of OSSN, so that captcha should work fine.
