Confusing release naming and messages while upgrading

Michael Zülsdorff Posted in General Discussion 4 months ago

I was running Ossn 8.6 and tried to upgrade to Ossn 8.8

So I clicked the green Download Ossn v8.8 button on page https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/download - but got a zip-archive named ossn-v8.8-1760034093.zip

First question: What's the difference?

Next I did as advised and extracted ossn-v8.8-1760034093.zip to my site
and entered https://.../upgrade/upgrade.php

Got two green messages:
Your website has been upgraded to release 1759406138.

Your website has been upgraded to release 1760034093.

and a red one in the end:
No upgrades!

I expected to sequentially ugrade to Ossn 8.7 and Ossn 8.8, but got those different release names. Even more puzzling: There seem to be no fitting upgrades available at all?!?

My dashboard in fact shows My OSSN Version 8.8 now, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something...

Ok i installed OSSN 8.6 and then disabled cache and replaced files to 8.8 before recording video

After replaced files i ran upgrade/upgrade.php i get two green messages, no red one.
