This component adds an additional profile subpage named About showing some basic member information like gender, age, etc. retrieved from the member's account data.

The accessibility of the About page depends on the mode which was chosen on the account settings page. The three available options are public (visible for everyone), friends only, or nobody (except of the account owner and administrators).

Note: About User can NOT be used in parallel with the Custom Profile Fields component. Whenever Custom Profile Fields gets enabled, About User will be disabled automatically.

I can not reproduce your issue, running Ossn 8.1 plus About User 7.3

Can you confirm you don't have Custom Profile Fields enabled?

I just updated to ossn 8.1 and the widget isn't showing in the profile anymore
should be somewhere here

I tried to explain already 2 months ago - (see my post below)
About User doesn't need any changes, the change has to be applied to the component you want to get some output from. Thus, and as for all paid components, please contact openteknik.com.

can you maybe make it compatible with paid component "FamilyRelationships", so the relationship status is shown on about page? or maybe tell me how to do it?
thanks :)

But I cannot use your component, when activating Custom User Fields, right?
I like that little banner on profile, that's why I am using your component

No reason to say sorry. Ideas are always welcome, Dominik. We would not have a component like Eighteen Male otherwise, for example. ;)
It's just: You don't seem to understand the working of About User:
As an owner of Ossn Premium you may simply use your Custom User Fields component, define a new text field named 'Location' (plus 'display on About page' option) and you're done.
This way, the new member attribute will appear automatically on About pages - without any need to change the About Page component itself.

Was just an idea, sorry

Sure,
but it is outside the scope of this component to add new member attributes, it's just meant to display some already available. ;)

We have "OSSNLocation" which add the possibility to use location on OSSNWall, but maybe you can use that Mapbox integration to add location to profile?
