This component adds an additional profile subpage named About showing some basic member information like gender, age, etc. retrieved from the member's account data.

The accessibility of the About page depends on the mode which was chosen on the account settings page. The three available options are public (visible for everyone), friends only, or nobody (except of the account owner and administrators).

Note: About User can NOT be used in parallel with the Custom Profile Fields component. Whenever Custom Profile Fields gets enabled, About User will be disabled automatically.

@Daniel
just verified: this archive is working correctly with ossn 5.2
Unfortunately the component uploader comes with only 1 general error message for different possible errors and it's likely that your issue was caused by something else (e.g. archive is larger than allowed upload filesize)
So please follow the instructions (case B) on

Yes, and that's absolutely correct.
You can't enable About User as long as the required Textarea Support component is missing.

@Karl
In opposite to Ossn CORE components which are reliably translated to English, French and German, some 3rd party components may not include all three language files. Feel free to add your own ossn.de.php to the locale directory of this component.
@Sergio
this component was never meant to include an editing option - the purpose was to display some (additional) member data only.

It works, but as the translation for the german language is still not 100% complete, it shows you the word "age" instaed of the German word "Alter", if you are using the German language.

The user can not customize the information in the following form. Have you found a solution?
