About User
This component adds an additional profile subpage named About showing some basic member information like gender, age, etc. retrieved from the member's account data.
The accessibility of the About page depends on the mode which was chosen on the account settings page. The three available options are public (visible for everyone), friends only, or nobody (except of the account owner and administrators).
Note: About User can NOT be used in parallel with the Custom Profile Fields component. Whenever Custom Profile Fields gets enabled, About User will be disabled automatically.

how can i export the birthdays and mobile phone numbers of the users to the respective users

Actually, User Fields and About are not really conflicting, but since User Fields offers its own and even configurable About section, it wouldn't make much sense to see 2 abouts in parallel. :) That's why this one disables automatically (see release note 4.1 above) in case User Fields is running.

@Z Man My apologies, I should know better than to leave such a comment without an error log or something.
I resolved the issue, I had installed a commercial component 'user fields' once I removed this one and then disabled and re-enabled 'user fields' it worked fine.
I believe they were simply conflicting, my mistake.

but without knowing further details (see https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/wiki/view/1101/how-to-report-a-bug-error) I can only guess that you installed the component indeed - but forgot to enable it.

The 'about user' page doesn't seem to work for me. I'm using GreenByGreen theme unmodified. The 'about' text never appears on the profile.
If I append /about to the end of my username in the URL I get a blank profile page without any 'about' info.

But excuse me if I'm not too surprised. ;)
Actually, this component IS coded to display an About page whenever you're calling a link like YOURSITE.COM/u/USERNAME/about.
Thus, as long as you're not tweaking a theme in a way that links like that will become unavailable or are no longer available because of a bug in the theme About pages will be displayed.
