Hello OSSN Community,

I'm curious if any developers have already created or are currently working on an Accessibility Component for OSSN that specifically addresses the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

With the EAA's deadlines approaching, having a component to help OSSN instances meet these critical digital accessibility standards would be incredibly valuable for European users and anyone aiming for higher accessibility compliance.

Has a component been developed, or is one in the planning stage?

If not, would there be interest in collaborating on such a component?

Ensuring OSSN is inclusive for all members, regardless of ability, is a great goal for an open-source project. Any insights or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

The European Accessibility Act becomes fully mandatory for any digital service used by people in the EU, accessibility is now the second most important legal requirement after GDPR.

langauges are easy just look any existing component for locale/ossn.nl.php and locale/ossn.en.php

If you are using JS you can use Ossn.Print('key') and for php echo ossn_print('key')

I'm doing my best, but I'm falling into the pitfall of my native language while developing a component, and I'm looking for a good explanation of how to properly set up a locale/ossn.en.php file.

@Przemysław, it’s impressive how Eric took the initiative to solve his own problem, rather than relying on the commercial teams. Quite the independent approach! I like it very much. Keep it up Eric, good work!

This is impressive progress, Eric. You iterate faster than most commercial teams. The contrast module looks clean and practical.
