@Grant, email me if you want, I have an improved ad system that can either display ads mixed in with user posts (and repeat every n posts if you want), or it can display an ad on the right sidebar. It also allows you to add html code of your choosing so if you want to paste something from some other site that should work fine (just make sure it's enclosed in script tags if it's javascript).

I would appreciate this feature as well. I would like to be able to monetize the site, using ads generated from JS from external site. It would be great to have the ads mixed in with user posts.

you can contact me if you want (email in my profile). I wrote an ad system that can mix in ads with user posts (how ever often you specify, e.g. every 5 posts or whatever).
