Can someone write a small component that allows users to change their username in the profile? with a query whether the username is already taken or not

Ok thanks for the Information. I just ask because if any new user will use the social login plugin without registration the username is like Max4gk7jd9v

Actually the username change is not allowed for some reasons. Suppose of @mentions component if there is such a feature or some username tagging feature, username tagged in old places may appeared to be tag wrong person if someone changes username and that username then later taken by other user,
