External Search Engine

Mark Randall Posted in Technical Support 3 years ago

I'm looking to have to do an external search engine POC index of the OSSN content combined with other sources. I point the engine to the login page (*http://{siteurl}/login*) and provide the ID and Password for form authentication. The only results I get are for the HTML wrapper site we created. I've used an ADMIN and a normal user ID

Any thoughts on how I can get past sign-on? Do I need to point the engine to another location?

POC (Proof Of Concept)

I did get this engine to crawl the contents. Working to filter out some items.

Thanks Allon.

I'm doing a POC with a product called Coveo. I got past the sign-on and now looking for any documentation/references to the database tables where user and posting information is stored to create specific collections that can be combined in a unified view when a user completes a search.

I did a search and came up with this. Google offers a programmable search engine for your website.
