hello. I was wondering if OSSN can be used on AWS LAMP stack it is a ubuntu server? I noticed AWS has a few images of OSSN but they are 4.4 not the 5.0 version of the software. I am planning to upgrade to the premium but I continue to face issues with the installation process on getting a white screen with the 5.0 files.

Just download the latest image of v5.0.

thanks so much to you both for all your help. I was able to get everything squared away. I'm just struggling with the sending email part out but I believe it has to do with my server configuration.

Have a look into your webserver's error logfile. If you're getting a white screen the reason will be logged there.

okay awesome. and the white screen is that a sign that something is missing from the pre-reqs? I have tried to install locally to test it out i have a XAMP installed on my machine but all i get is a white screen with the 5.0 version.

We have latest image of OSSN v5.0 you can download it from here : https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/download-vm-image the image was updated long ago!
