Backup / Restore

Starting with release V 2.3, GreenByGreen comes with a backup/restore mechanism that takes care of keeping your modifications.
Whenever you disable GreenByGreen (= switch to a different theme) the following files will be saved to your Ossn data directory:

favicon.ico
logo.png (your site's frontend logo)
logo_admin.jpg (your admin backend logo)
frontpage.css
light_mode.css
dark_mode.css
as well as the 3 accompanying pdf files listing your currently chosen colors
site_custom_css.php (holding your custom css changes and additions)

Whenever you enable GreenByGreen these files will be restored to the theme directory, making your site instantly look the same again without any further manual interaction.

Customizing

Before manually applying any CSS changes to GreenByGreen, make friends with the comfortable admin backend and asure they can't be applied there in a much more easier way.
Manual CSS changes and additions must be saved in site_custom_css.php, only. Don't touch any of the other files since they are being modified and managed programmatically.

No, there's no need to create that link.
GreenByGreen has no extra newsfeed link anymore.
The newfeed is reachable any time by clicking either the topbar's sitename (on larger displays) or the home icon (on small screens)

another question, the "News Feed" link does not appear in the "links" menu. Should I create it?

Yes, because you are missing a required part.
Simply have a look at the list:
You've got the right Ossn >= 5.4, that's ok.
But you're missing the TouchScreenCoverImageDragging component.
Install and enable it - and the theme enabling button will appear.

It is not possible to activate it. There is no button to do it

Hmm ... I think you would not see a screen like that if the installation went wrong.
What's your problem?

disable Ossn cache before doing experiments like that.
reinstall the original ossn.pt.php file (with the english text)
re-apply your translation line by line and check if re-positioning is still working afterwards

This way you should find the faulty line which is causing the error
Most likely you replaced the placeholder %s by something unallowed here:

'Note: For best results set the browser to a cover image width of 1040 - the current width is: %s',

really ... in english it worked ... in this case I edit only the translation files to solve?

I can't reproduce that.
Did you translate the Portuguese language file of GreenByGreen?
If so, switch your account settings language temporarely to English and try repositioning again
